Stakes Saturday at Belmont

A beautiful Stakes Saturday will take shape at bountiful Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Ticonderoga Stakes~1 1/16 mile~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~NY~Stakes}
A live field of twelve will go to the gate in this stakes feature. There is enough speed in this race to produce a sizzling pace. Most of these gals have competitively close speed figures which should make it a dandy of a race.

#10 Discreet Marq (I Ortiz / Clement) might have the edge with the clear highest last out speed number and one dynamic workout. This daughter of Discreet Cat has the tactical speed to stay close to the leaders and unleash into the stretch. She also holds the highest speed number at the distance in which she has secured a 100% in the money record from five starts.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#5 Invading Humor (Rosario / Levine) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and one solid workout. She loves the Belmont track and will be seeking her fifth win in a row.  This daughter of Invasor [ARG] also has the tactical speed to stay close and launch into the stretch.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#9 Effie Trinket (J. Ortiz / Violette) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number at a longer route and three vigorous workouts. This daughter of Freud should track and close well into a steamy pace. She holds the second highest speed number over the Belmont track. May the odds be with her.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Selenite (J. Velazquez / Donk) OR #1A Chrysolite (C. Velasquez / Donk), take your pick. Both appear on the verge of a great run.  #1 Selenite shows a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two hearty workouts. This daughter of Cosmonaut will be tracking the pace and pounce.  #1A Chrysolite also has a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a four race progression, and one peaking workout. She too is a daughter of Freud. As such, it begs the question, which daughter of Freud has the mental edge in this race?

#6 Strike Accord (Arroyo / Kimmel) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and two robust workouts. This daughter of Smart Strike is another tracker/closer which should look for an opening to chase down the front runners in the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

Stakes Saturday Sprint at Keeneland

There is nothing like a quick sprint on a relaxing Saturday afternoon.  We take a look at some fine fillies sprinting at Keeneland.

Keeneland Race 9 {Lexus Raven Run~G2~7 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies~Stakes}
A fantastic field of fourteen talented fillies will make a run of it in this annual race.  It appears half the field will be forwardly placed in the thick of the pace and the other half will be coming from off that pace.  It should be a great race.

#10 Via Villaggio (Pedroza / Hollendorfer) appears ready to strike into what could be a hot pace.  She holds the highest last out speed number at a route, a two race progression, and three superb workouts.  This gal relishes the synthetic surface and should close fast.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#11 Gypsy Robin (J. Velazquez / Ward) will challenge carving out a sneaky good forwardly placed position.  She holds the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four stellar peaking workouts.  She has already notched two career wins at Keeneland.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.

#6 Killer Graces (Bridgmohan / Hollendorfer) should track the pace well positioning for that final run through the stretch.  She has a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three terrific peaking workouts.  This gal shares the second highest speed number over a synthetic surface.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#8 Drama Drama (Court / Oliver) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number over a Turf route and three hearty workouts over the Keeneland surface.  She is a closer who will take advantage of a torrid pace.

#7 Anna Sophia (Lebron / Mott) will be in the hunt for racing riches with a couple of very nice last out performances and three sturdy workouts.  You will recall she was our Bronze Horseshoe runner last Sunday that had scratched from that race... interesting?  She could track and close into a fluid pace.

Keeneland Turf Friday

We enter Friday seeking to witness a glorious Turf race.

Keeneland Race 7 {Pin Oak Valley View~G3~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
Another closely matched field of twelve will assemble for this annual contest.  These gals have speed.  The field appears to be evenly divided between the forwardly placed and those coming from off the pace.  Not a single filly has a superior edge.  Any one of them could find their way to the winners circle.

#9 Miss Cato [GB] (Saez / Attfield) has a tiny edge sharing the second highest (4-way tie) last out speed number at longer Turf route, a three race progression, and three superb, peaking workouts.  This gal could track the pacesetters and swoop into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#1 Closing Range (Court / Oliver) will challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer Turf route, a two race progression, and four excellent, peaking workouts.  She should show some pressing speed to great advantage.
$1 PLACE / $1 SHOW.

#10 Cosmic Energy (Castellano / Hills) should also be in the battle for the win sharing the second highest last out speed number at this distance, holding a four race progression, and putting in two hearty workouts.  She is another that could show a speedy pressing attack.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#5 Medolina (Napravnik / Pletcher) should be in the hunt sharing the third highest last out speed number and putting in two stout workouts.  She has the highest speed number at this distance.  Another that should be forwardly placed ready to strike.

#11 Run a Risk (P. Lopez / Arnold) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three robust peaking workouts.  This gal has the tactical speed to stay close and fire well in the stretch.

10 CENT Superfecta

#9 Miss Cato [GB] / #1 Closing Range / #10 Cosmic Energy / #5 Medolina, #11 Run a Risk.
