Arlington Million Day

It is Arlington Million day here at Arlington Park Race Track in suburban Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Track officials have delivered another tremendous undercard for this premiere Turf race.  Eight of the twelve races are scheduled on the Turf.

The potential for Thunderstorms exists which may move some races off the Turf.  Should it rain, the Turf course could go from good to yielding.  The weather people projected storms last night, but we see no evidence of that this morning.  Here in Chicago, if you wait a minute, the weather will change.

Saratoga Stakes Action

A significant Saturday for Saratoga Stakes Action.  Today we look at a race at the spectacular "Spa".

Saratoga Race 10 {Whitney Invitational~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
This will be a superlative handicapping venture.  It would come as no surprise if any one of this field of eleven pulls off the victory.  All are members of the triple digit speed number club.  This is what horse racing is all about.

Considering our current budget level, we will take advantage of the one dollar show bet that is available at Saratoga (and other NYRA tracks).  A beautiful thing for budget conscience handicappers.

#7 Rail Trip (Dominguez / R. Dutrow) looks tremendously prepped for this race with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four athletically peaking workouts.  He should press the attack and get first jump on the field.
