A field of eight will go to the gate in this low level claiming race in the Chicagoland area.

There is sufficient speed to produce a swift pace. Speed numbers for most are very close making it competitive. It is the last on the card which usually produces interesting results. All but one have competed at this route distance. It should be a good race.

A very nice field of eight ladies will hit the green in this graded stakes race.

 We get our fix of Turf action from the borough of Queens as we look in on an excellent stakes race at the "Big A".

Aqueduct Race 8 {Winter Memories Stakes~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Fillies~Stakes}

A reduced field of eleven will hit the green in this annual stakes contest.

This contest comes up light on speed. There are three forwardly placed types that could take the lead by default. Nonetheless there will be a group quickening when the field turns for home. Speed numbers are fairly close making it a competitive contest. The Turf is rated as good. It should be a fantastic race.

#3 Plum Ali (M. Franco / Clement) will be dropping in class and distance for this race. She holds the fourth highest last out speed number and two solid workouts. She will be part of the tracking crew as they spin around the Turf course. A daughter of First Samurai, she has notched two wins at the distance and is 50% in the money from ten career starts.

A Superfecta Sunday in Chicago

 Off we go (virtually, of course) to the, now, jewel of Illinois racing, Hawthorne Race Course to have a fine Superfecta Sunday.

Hawthorne Race Course Race 6 {Sun Power Stakes~6 Furlongs~2 year-old~ IL Stakes}

A reduced field of seven will go to the gate in this Stakes sprint for the youngsters. There is speed o' plenty with this group. Speed figs are fairly close making this one competitive as these lads continue to show improvement in their racing careers. It should be a fine race.

#8 Fast Jack (Santiago / Becker) will making his second career start after winning at first asking. He holds the highest last out speed number among this crew. Add to that a modest layoff with three superb workouts, and there is a recipe for success. He should be part of the speed herd as they depart the gate. A son of Ghaaleb, he will be stretching out for this race.
