A New Yorkish Superfecta Sunday

 We take in a nice graded stakes sprint on this Superfecta Sunday.

Aqueduct Race 8 {Fall Highweight Handicap~G3~6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A short field of seven will enter the gate in this annual contest.

Past Performances used:  DRF Classic.

A good field of sprinters will line up and dash to the wire. Beyer speed figs are fairly close for this bunch. Speed appears to be to the outside and comprises nearly half the field. All are largely successful in their racing career. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a great race, one of many on the Aqueduct card.

#6 Stan the Man (Cancel / Terranova) might have a slight edge with the third highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts. This lad has the tactical speed to see what kind of pace develops and go with it. A son of Broken Vow, he is 68% in the money from twenty-five career starts. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

$1 SHOW.

#5 Share the Ride (J. Ortiz / Arriaga) might go off as the prohibitive favorite with the highest last out speed number as well as the highest speed number at this distance. He is another with tactical speed. A son of Fed Biz, he is 73% in the money from nineteen career starts.

#2 Drafted (D. Davis / Duggan) comes in off an extended layoff after having been competing in the Middle-East for much of his career. He has prepped with four superb workouts over the last thirty days. He should track and close into a speedy pace. A son of Field Commission, he is 50% in the money from sixteen career starts.

#7 Tribecca (Carmouche / C. Englehart) should challenge with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two solid workouts. He should show speed and set the pace. A son of Bustin Stones, he is 58% in the money from thirty-nine career starts.

A nice field of nine youngsters will go this route as they look to hit the Kentucky Derby trail next year.

There is enough speed among this group to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are especially close making it super competitive. All but two have gone this distance. It should be a very exciting race.

#4 Keepmeinmind (Cohen / Diodoro) looks well intentioned as the morning line favorite with the highest last out speed number and two diligent workouts. This lad should take up a tracking position and close efficiently. A son of Laoban, is 100% in the money from three career starts.

#2 Swill (Geroux / B. Cox) will be stretching out to this distance and certainly be part of the pace scenario. He holds the second highest last out speed number and four superb workouts. He has already posted a victory over the Churchill track. A son of Munnings, he is 66% in the money from three career starts.

#6 Oncoming Train (Bejarano / DiVito) should challenge with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and three stout workouts. He should be in a tracking position as they run around the track. A son of Mineshaft, he is also 100% in the money from two career starts.

Sit Down, Have a Cigar Mile at Aqueduct

This will be an exciting Saturday of a number of stakes races. We look at the Cigar Mile at Aqueduct and the Kentucky Jockey Club at Churchill. What a great fall day for horse racing.

Aqueduct Race 9 {Cigar Mile Handicap~G1~1 mile~3 year old Up~Stakes}
Kodiak Kowboy (Bridgmohan / Asmussen) looks to add to his millionaire status. Based on his races and work outs leading up to this race, he is ready. Look for him to close strongly to edge out Driven by Success (Dominguez / Levin) at the wire. Highly prosperous, Driven by Success has posted the best work outs and had a solid last out speed number. He is ready to add to his career 84% in the money. Expect him to lead the way. Tremendous Bribon(FR) (Maragh / Ribaudo) will close strongly in the stretch as well. He holds the highest speed numbers across the board and will no doubt give the Kodiak Kowboy chase. Let's make an Aqueduct play.

$2 SHOW: #3 Kodiak Kowboy
NO Superfecta play due to the small field.

Churchill Race 11 {Kentucky Jockey Club~G2~1 1/16 mile~2 year old~Stakes}
As these youngsters assemble in the gate many of their connections are beginning to dream of the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May. Here's to them, as they begin their road to accumulate graded stakes earnings to qualify for the best two minutes in all of sports. The horse that has the best capability today is Thiskyhasnolimit (Albarado / Asmussen). Funny, both our selections today are Asmussen trained pupils. Thiskyhasnolimit is a fabulous closer who has trained vigorously for this event. A quality speed number last out added to the fact that he loves this Churchill track, this guy will close for the wire first. He will have to catch Super Saver (Borel / Pletcher). Given the current economy, why not? The Todd Pletcher trained, Super Saver has some solid speed numbers and clearly the best work outs of this group. Activity Report (Thompson / Lukas) will give chase and be right there with Super Saver on the front end. He holds the highest overall speed number of these youngsters. Look for Worldly (Torres / McGee) and Callide Valley (Theriot / Kenneally) to close aggressively for a piece of the purse. Let's make a great Churchill play.

$2 SHOW: #3 Thiskyhasnolimit
10 CENT Superfecta: #3 Thiskyhasnolimit / #2 Super Saver / #9 Activity Report / #7 Worldly, #8 Callide Valley
