Stakes Saturday Turf
On this wonderful Stakes Saturday we take in a vibrant TURF contest at bountiful Belmont.
Belmont Park Race 9
{Garden City~G1~1 1/8 mile~inner TURF~3 year old~fillies~Stakes}
A fabulous field of eleven fillies will saunter onto the grass for this annual affair. There is ferocious speed on the inside with a few forwardly placed types sprinkled through the rest of the field. It could be a hot pace benefitting those that like to come from off the pace. The race should be a thrilling one.
#10 Watsdachances [IRE] (Castellano / C. Brown) looks ready to rumble with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and one solid workout. She should be able to track and close swiftly. This gal holds an 89% in the money record over the turf. She also enjoys the Belmont green.
$1 WIN / $2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.
#2 Discreet Marq (Gomez / Clement) will challenge from the front end with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one robust workout. She holds the second highest speed number at the distance and has notched a win at same. This gal is another that loves the Belmont turf.
$1 PLACE / $2 SHOW.
#11 Caroline Thomas (Bravo / Tagg) could surprise with a tremendous kick in the closing stretch. She shares the fourth highest last out speed number, is working a two race progression, and has put in four serious workouts. She favors the Belmont grass.

#1 Emollient (Smith / Mott) will figure prominently in this race with the third highest last out speed number at a longer turf route, a two race progression, and four superlative workouts. She could dispatch this field with her versatile running style from the inside post.
#4 Alterite [FR] (J. Velazquez / C. Brown) is the interesting contestant in this field with a strong career in France. She is making her first North American start after an average layoff. Her last race was a longer Group One in France and she has put in four terrific workouts prepping for this race. Worth a look based upon an outstanding jockey / trainer combination alone.

Superfecta went 1-2-4-6.
Bankroll gets a two buck bump settling at $14.84.

Friday OK Turf Sprint
It is Furlong Friday as we take in a TURF Sprint in the great state of Oklahoma.
Remington Park Race 5 {Remington Park Turf Sprint~5 furlongs~TURF~3 year old up~OK~Stakes}
A field of six geldings hit the TURF in this annual sprint. Most have comparable speed numbers and all but one could be forwardly placed. It should be a good TURF race.
#4 Stickrossmountain (Medina / Franklin) could have the edge with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one diligent workout. He has a versatile running style that can benefit him greatly in this field.
$2 SHOW.
#2 Pucker Up Pete (Worst / Trett) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and a five race progression. He will vie for front runner status. This guy also has the highest speed number at the distance notching a win at same.
$2 SHOW.
Other Wagering Interests
#3 Conkigo (Landeros / Lezano) is coming off a modest layoff. This guy could surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a three race progression, and three top-notch workouts. He has enough versatility in his running style to keep him in this one.
#1 Okie Ride (Quinonez / Nolen) is also coming off a modest layoff in what will be his first TURF effort. He is another with some versatility in his running style. This guy has put in two robust workouts and has he top overall speed number. He should be a factor in this race.
