Oh Canada Stakes Saturday

 We go up North to Canada for today's Stakes Saturday.

Woodbine Race 10 {Queens Plate Stakes~1 1/4 mile~3 year-old~Canada Bred~Stakes}

This is the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown. It promises to be an excellent race with fourteen going to post.

Past Performances Used:  DRF Formulator.

This should be a very good wagering opportunity for all handicappers. This field of fourteen is composed of two fillies, four geldings, and eight colts. All are three year-old's. There is a pack that will want to be forwardly placed pushing an honest pace. All will be stretching out to this distance for the first time.Speed numbers are very close with eight hitting an 80 Beyer figure or above. These horses are all well prepped with very good workout tabs. It should be the best race of the day.

#12 Clayton (R. Hernandez / K. Attard) is the morning line favorite with the second highest (tie) and two sound peaking workouts. This colt loves the surface and the Woodbine track. He should be part of the forwardly placed pack ready to roll into the stretch. A son of Bodemeister, he is 100% in the money including three wins from four career starts.

#2 Merveilleux (Kimura / K. Attard) should challenge as a filly going up against the boys. She shares the second highest last out speed number and has put in two speedy peaking workouts. She is one of the more seasoned of the field. Look for her to be part of the front pack looking for position. A daughter of Paynter, she is 75% in the money from eight career starts.

$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#6 Halo Again (Contreras / Asmussen) will contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two solid workouts. This guy is another that should travel among the front pack. He is another that likes the surface and the Woodbine track. A son of Speightstown, he is 66% in the money from six career starts.

#9 Dotted Line (Stein / S. Attard) will be in the mix sharing the third highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This gelding has the tactical speed to make good use of whatever pace develops. He does like the surface and the Woodbine track. Superfecta Sunday Up North

Looking for some good Turf action on this Superfecta Sunday. We go North on Queen's Plate Day.

Woodbine Race 12 {Charlie Barley Stakes~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Stakes}

A great field of nine will hit the grass provided the rain subsides. There is enough speed to develop an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close which should produce a highly competitive event. All are nicely bred for the Turf. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#8 Yorkton (Da Silva / Simon) might be able to reel all of these lads in with the highest last out speed number and four glorious workouts. This guy will show speed and if contained properly, he could wire this field.

#6 Flowmotion (J. Ortiz / Casse) should take another step forward as he stretches out to this distance from his last that produced the third highest last out speed number of this crew. He has put in one fine workout. This guy has the tactical speed to track closely and strike in the stretch. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#2 Made You Look (Castellano / Pletcher) comes in to face these foes with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. He holds the highest speed number at the distance. With a proper pace he could track and close gallantly.

#4 City Boy (Campbell / Keogh) could surprise with a couple of good last out speed numbers in which he hit the board in both efforts. He loves the surface and the Woodbine course. This lad has put in two robust workouts in the last thirty days.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($4.80)

#8 Yorkton  +  #6 Flowmotion  +  #2 Made You Look  +  #4 City Boy.
