A New Yorkish Superfecta Sunday

 We take in a nice graded stakes sprint on this Superfecta Sunday.

Aqueduct Race 8 {Fall Highweight Handicap~G3~6 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A short field of seven will enter the gate in this annual contest.

Past Performances used:  DRF Classic.

A good field of sprinters will line up and dash to the wire. Beyer speed figs are fairly close for this bunch. Speed appears to be to the outside and comprises nearly half the field. All are largely successful in their racing career. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a great race, one of many on the Aqueduct card.

#6 Stan the Man (Cancel / Terranova) might have a slight edge with the third highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts. This lad has the tactical speed to see what kind of pace develops and go with it. A son of Broken Vow, he is 68% in the money from twenty-five career starts. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

Churchill Downs R11.  Kentucky Jockey Club--G2.  Our first pick, Keepmeinmind,  won (1st) for win money of $6.00 and show money of $3.90.  Our second pick, Swill, finished 4th.  Our third pick, Oncoming Train, finished 7th.

We were successful in our Exacta Wheel effort by having the winner and our fourth pick Smiley Sobotka, earning $11.00.  Superfecta went 4-1A-3-2.

Bankroll realizes a little uptick to settle at $24.87.

Graded Stakes Action in Kentucky

 On this Stakes Saturday we take in an excellent graded stakes race in Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 11 {Kentucky Jockey Club~G2~1 1/16 mile~2 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A nice field of nine youngsters will go this route as they look to hit the Kentucky Derby trail next year.

There is enough speed among this group to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are especially close making it super competitive. All but two have gone this distance. It should be a very exciting race.

#4 Keepmeinmind (Cohen / Diodoro) looks well intentioned as the morning line favorite with the highest last out speed number and two diligent workouts. This lad should take up a tracking position and close efficiently. A son of Laoban, is 100% in the money from three career starts.

#2 Swill (Geroux / B. Cox) will be stretching out to this distance and certainly be part of the pace scenario. He holds the second highest last out speed number and four superb workouts. Stakes Saturday in Kentucky

 On this Stakes Saturday we take in a nice dirt mile race under the Twin Spires.

Churchill Downs Race 9 {Chilukki Stakes~G3~1 mile~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Graded Stakes}

A talented field of nine will go to the gate in this annual affair.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is a good amount of speed couple with forwardly placed types to carry the pace well. Speed numbers are fairly close making it competitive. It should be one of the better Stakes races on the day. 

#5 Gold Standard (Geroux / B. Cox) looks ready to roll with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two solid peaking workouts. This gal hold the highest (tie) speed number at the distance. She should battle with the forwardly placed crew. A daughter of Medaglia d'Oro, she is 80% in the money from ten career starts.

$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#4 Whoa Nellie (Rocco / L. Jones) comes off an extended layoff with the fourth highest last out speed number and four superb peaking workouts. She is another that should race close to the pace. Aqueduct R9. Winter Memories Stakes.  We just missed on our 10 CENT Superfecta Box effort capturing three of the four wagering interests needed to cash. Superfecta went 5-6-3-1.

 Let's get some Turf action on our Superfecta Sunday.

Moving to the Dirt for Stakes Saturday

 We had hoped for a nice Turf contest on this Stakes Saturday, but it moves to the dirt down in Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {Mrs. Revere Stakes~G2~1 1/16 mile~OFF Turf~3 year-old Up~Fillies~Graded Stakes}

A field of six will go to the gate in this annual affair.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is some speed to maintain an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close among the top contenders. All have gone this distance. It should be an interesting race. Probably won't be much value in the wagering.

#3 Stunning Sky (Santana / Maker) shows the highest (tie) last out speed number and two solid workouts. She is a consistent type that should track the pace to her benefit. This gal has already has a win to her credit over the dirt. A daughter of Declaration of War, she is 54% in the money from eleven career starts.

A "Big A" Superfecta Sunday

 As we move through November it seems the fields tend to thin out a bit. On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a Grade three event for the youngsters.

Aqueduct Race 9 {Nashua Stakes~G3~1 mile~2 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A good field of seven hearty youngsters will battle in this mile race.

Past Performances used:  DRF Formulator.

The field is evenly divided among the forwardly placed types and those that are beginning to a develop an off the pace style of running. Given that, it should be an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close for a bunch with few races to their credit. All will look to improve. None have raced at Aqueduct yet. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a fine race.

#4 Pickin' Time (McCarthy / Breen) could have the benefit of more experience having completed four races already. He shows the third highest last out speed number and one solid workout heading into the race. Look for him to track close to the pace ready to strike. This guy is one of three who have already gone this distance. A son of Stay Thirsty, he is 75% in the money from four career starts. This colt is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

#1 Ten for Ten (Cancel / McGaughey) should go off as the favorite having hit the board in both of his starts. He holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and three hearty workouts. He could show early speed in this race. #6 Civil War (Juarez / Albertrani) is coming out of a grade one race at Belmont Park. His speed numbers are improving and he has put in two robust workouts. Look for him to close swiftly coming around the turn. A son of Bodemeister, he is 50% in the money from two career starts.

#5 Isolate (Torres / Ritvo) should challenge with the highest last out speed number and three dynamite, peaking workouts. This guy is another that could should speed from the gate. He comes into this race having won both of his starts. A son of Mark Valeski, he will be stretching out to this distance.

Superfecta Sunday Up in Canada

 We go up North (virtually) for our Superfecta Sunday for a stakes race for the youngsters.

Woodbine Race 8 {Coronation Futurity Stakes~1 1/8 mile~2 year-old~CAN~Stakes}

Eight youngsters go to the gate in this featured stakes race.

A talented field will all stretch out to this distance battling for the purse money. There is speed to keep an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close for these young lads. There is good pedigrees represented in all of these Canadian bred horses. Our task is to harness a winning 20 CENT Superfecta Box. It should be a super fine race.

#5 British Royalty (Lermyte / Minshall) could make a leap forward from his maiden win with the fourth highest last out speed number and two ultra-sharp workouts. This gelding will be looking for some pace to close into. A son of English Channel, this guy will be seeking his second win in a row. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

We were successful in our Saturday Exacta Wheel for a payout of $15.55.
