Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

 We look in on a nice sprint for the Cal Breds on this Superfecta Sunday.

Santa Anita Race 8 {6 1/2 Furlongs~4 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~CA Bred~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A fine group of California girls will go to the gate in this Allowance sprint.

Past Performances used:  DRF Formulator.

There is plenty of speed in this Cal-Bred sprint. A couple of entrants will stretch out for the first time. Speed figs are fairly close. Only one will try the Santa Anita dirt for the first time. It should be a very good race to make a Superfecta play.

#6 Neezer Dalton (Del-cid / Miyadi) will be part of the small tracker pack. She comes in with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong workouts. This gal loves the dirt, distance, and track. A daughter of Tough Sunday, she is 60% in the money from five starts.

Another Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

 We look in on the "lucky last" at beautiful Santa Anita. A race that will be on the Turf.

Santa Anita Park Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A solid field of ten will go to the grass for this "lucky last".

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

The entire field has raced over the Turf and at the distance. Only one will try the Santa Anita Turf for the first time. Speed numbers are fairly close with eight hitting a triple digit speed fig within their last three. All have been well prepped for the race by virtue of good workouts with the last thirty days. It should be excellent race to cap off a great day of racing.

#8 Captain Choochies (Geroux / Papaprodromou) has repeated his last two speed figs earning the second highest last out speed numbers. Two hearty workouts add to his cause. This guy will show speed and could wire the field. He will be seeking his fifth win in a row. A son of Classic Empire, he is 57% in the money from nineteen starts.

#9 Amplitude (Berrrios / Sadler) drops in class and distance having last raced out at Baqueduct. He has posted three decent and consistent speed numbers in his last three. Superfecta Sunday at Santa Anita

 A we look toward the Breeder's Cup Championships later this week, we take in the last race of today's Santa Anita card.

Santa Anita Park Race 10 {6 1/2 furlongs~ downhill TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares Allowance Optional Claiming}

A good group of eleven will take flight on the Santa Anita hillside course to end the Fall meet.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

This is a very fine race to cap off the card. It comes a little light on speed though there are a number of fowardly placed types to carry the pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Only four have covered the downhill course. Eight have competed at this distance. All but one have competed over a Turf surface. It should be a great race to handicap and wager.

#6 Royal Charter [GB] (Ayuso / Powell) drops in from a slightly more competitive race at Del Mar and cuts back from a mile distance. She should track the pace closely. This gal has raced downhill a couple of times hitting the board in one of them. She holds the second highest last out speed number and four strong workouts. A daughter of Expert Eye [GB], he is 37% in the money from sixteen starts.

#9 The Wild Grazer [IRE] (Berrios / Mullins) loves the TURF, distance, and downhill course holding the highest speed at both. She should be part of the tracker pack in the middle of the field. #2 Tequilaandtherapy (Fresu / O'Neill) is another that drops in class and distance. She holds the highest last out speed number and four strengthening workouts. #3 Yellow Sun Dress (JJ Hernandez / Glatt) is the morning line favorite as she tries the downhill course distance for the first time. This girl is yet another that will track the pace closely. She does love the Turf. A daughter of Karakontie [JPN], he is 75% in the money from eight starts.

Superfecta Sunday on the Dirt

 On this the final day of the National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas, we turn to the Arkansas dirt for some Superfecta Sunday action.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~fillies~Allowance Optional Claiming ($200k)}

A reduced field of eight will go to the gate. Not optimal for Superfecta play, but let's give it a shot.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is enough speed in this race to produce a fast pace. Speed figs are fairly close among these gals. Only three will be stretching out to this distance. Also, two will be invading from other locales. It should be a fine race on a wonderful day of racing.

#5 Enchanting (E. Asmussen / S. Asmussen) comes in from Sunland Park seeking to take another step forward. She will stretch out with two decent workouts in the last thirty days. This gal exits a stakes race where she was runner up. She should track the pace and sprout in the stretch. A daughter of Gun Runner, she is 66% in the money from three starts.

An Arkansas Superfecta Sunday

 We take in an Arkansas dirt route on this Superfecta Sunday.

Oaklawn Park Race 8 {1 1/16 mile~4 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A reduced field of nine will go to the gate in this penultimate race on the card.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is a sufficient number of forwardly placed types to keep the pace honest. Speed numbers are fairly close making it competitive. All have raced over the Oaklawn track. It should be a good race on a great day of racing on this Superfecta Sunday.

#10 Sir Greylind (Leparoux / McPeek) is the deserved favorite coming out of a Stakes race and dropping in distance. He shares the highest last out speed number and has two superb workouts. Look for him to track the pace closely. He absolutely loves the dirt, distance, and track. A son of Speightster, he is 100% in the money from six starts.

#8 On the Stage (K. Asmussen / S. Asmussen) comes into the race with the second highest last out speed number and one solid workout. He should close into the pace. #6 Archie the Giza (Santana / Medina) could surprise exiting a stakes race and cutting back in distance. He shares the fourth highest last out speed number and two solid peaking workouts. Going Long On the Turf in South Florida

 We look in on a classic Turf battle down in South Florida on this Superfecta Sunday.

Gulfstream Park Race 8 {1 1/2 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A talented field of twelve will hit the grass in this feature event.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

For a long-distance Turf race there is plenty of speed to produce a contentious pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Only five have gone this distance while the rest will make the stretch out. Five will attempt the Gulfstream course for the first time. All look well prepped. It should be one of the best races on the day.

#3 Vesting [IRE] (Gaffalione / C. Brown) will stretch out with four superb workout in preparation. It will be his first effort over the Gulfstream course. He has a triple digit speed fig over the surface. This gelding has the tactical speed to adjust to the pace as it presents itself. A son of Blue Point [IRE], he is 40% in the money from five starts.

Looking at Louisiana Ladies on Superfecta Sunday

 We go down to NOLA for some sprint action as the Louisiana Ladies strut onto the dirt.

A full field of twelve will go to the gate in this lucky last on the card.

There is a plethora of speedy types to make the pace sizzling. Speed numbers are very close. All have competed over the Fair Grounds dirt. With the morning line favorite pegged at 4-1 you can bet this is a handicapping challenge with any of these gals having the potential to come out on top. It should be a wonderful race to close out the Horse racing weekend.

#8 Country Lady (Concepcion / Desormeaux) will be seeking her third win in a row. She should be part of the pace scenario. This gal holds the second highest speed number over the dirt and one superb workout. She holds a high 90% itm performance at the distance and over the track. Let's Go to the Tapeta on Superfecta Sunday

 On to South Florida for some exciting Tapeta action on our Superfecta Sunday.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {1 1/8 mile~Tapeta~4 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A talented group of ten will go to the gate in this Allowance race.

There is plenty of speed in this race to create a frothy pace. Speed numbers are very close. There are two which will be moving from Turf to Tapeta and one moving from the dirt. Six have traveled over the Gulfstream Synthetic while only four have gone this distance. It should be a fantastic race.

#10 Swore (J. Ruiz / Motion) is one of those making a surface switch from Turf to Tapeta coming off a marathon distance of two miles. Add in one wholesome workout and this lad is good to go. He should track the pace and strike in the stretch. A son of Broken Vow, he is 57% in the money from seven starts.

Maryland is for Horse Lovers on Superfecta Sunday

Off we go for a little East Coast tangle on the dirt. While Virginia may be for lovers, Maryland is for horse lovers. This is a smashing Laurel card. We check in an excellent mile race on the dirt.
