Horse Racing Weekend begins on Belmont Turf

Ahh, the horse racing weekend begins. We take in a very swell Turf mile for the gals at beautiful Belmont Park.

Belmont Park Race 8 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old~Filly's~Allowance}

A great crop of ten gals will go to the green in this afternoon feature. There is some speed in this one to keep and honest pace. Speed figs appear to be fairly close. The vast majority of these gals have been lightly raced. It should be a terrific race featuring fillies with fine pedigree.

#10 Tapitry (J. Velazquez / McGaughey) might have the edge with the third highest last out speed number at a longer route, a three race progression, and three superb workouts. She should track the pace closely and spring into the stretch. This gal will be firing fresh.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#1A Sentiera Italia ( L. Saez / McLaughlin) will challenge with the highest last out speed number at a longer route, a two race progression, and one stout work. This filly could be on the front end seeking to wire the field. She should relish this distance.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#6 Lady of Victory (Rosario / Mott) should contend with the second highest last out speed at a Turf sprint, a three race progression, and two hearty workouts. She should be forwardly placed seeking to drive through the stretch. This lightly raced gal is a lover of the Belmont Turf.

#9 Kitten's Roar (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) will be in the mix with the fourth highest last out speed number in her debut race. She has put in four conscientious workouts during a brief freshening. Coming up from Gulfstream she is a great fit for the Turf.

Superfecta Sunday along the Jersey Shore

We roll into a superb Superfecta Sunday for a fantastic stakes route on the Jersey dirt.

Monmouth Park Race 11 {The Monmouth Beach~1 mile 70 yards~3 year-old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}

A great group of eight gals will make their start in this Sunday stakes race. Half the field will be coming off extended layoffs, making their first start this year.  There is plenty of speed in this crew to present an honest pace.  Speed figures appear to be very close at the distance and over the surface. Our task will be to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta ticket. It should be a very exciting race.

#7 Montana Native (Bravo / Clement) is coming off an extended layoff and should go off as the favorite. She shares the second highest speed number at the distance with a 100% in the money record from six starts at same. This gal has been prepped with four high quality peaking workouts. Look for her to be forwardly placed. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#1 Catch My Drift (Carmouche / C. Brown) is also coming off an extended layoff making her first start this year. She is the other that shares the second highest speed number at the distance and also holds a 100% in the money record at the same. This gal will be tracking and closing smoothly having been prepped with four robust workouts.

#4 Amblin Easy (Cintron / R. Reid) will be stretching out for this one while in good form. She comes into this race with the second highest last out speed number, a five race progression, and one solid workout. This girl will be well positioned close to the pace ready to spring forward.

#6 Got Lucky (Lopez / Pletcher) should contend with the fourth highest last out speed number and four hearty workouts. She hit the board in her only race at this distance which is good for the fourth highest speed number among this group. This gal should be tracking the pace and hit the stretch with full force.
