Stakes Saturday at Belmont

On this second Saturday in Fall we look in on a great Turf race at bountiful Belmont.

Belmont Park Race 9 {Hill Prince~G3~1 1/8 mile~Inner TURF~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A very nice field of ten Turfers will take to the Belmont green. This race comes up very light on speed. It might end up being a mighty quickening, a la European style, heading into the stretch. Speed numbers are very close making this race an extremely competitive event. There are four invading from elsewhere to challenge the Belmont crew.

#10 Beach Patrol (Geroux / C. Brown) might have the edge with speed capability. He holds the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four serious peaking workouts. This son of Lemon Drop Kid is 87% in the money from eight starts.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#7 Monster Bea (Castellano / Miller) ships in from California with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and three high velocity workouts. He is one of many trackers in here who will attempt to get a fair trip. A son of Hat Trick [JPN], he shares the highest speed number at the distance.
$1 PLACE  / $2 SHOW.

#1 Camelot Kitten (I.Ortiz / C. Brown) could go off as the favorite with the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and three hearty workouts. He has posted two victories over the Belmont course from three starts. This son of Kitten's Joy is 77% in the money from nine starts.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interests

#4 Dressed in Hermes (A. Arroyo / Armstrong) could surprise as he also comes in from California sporting the top last out speed fig. This lad is working a seven race progression and has put in two stout workouts prepping for this race. Another son of Hat Trick [JPN], he should be well positioned within the tracking colony.
