Superfecta Sunday in Arkansas

On this Superfecta Sunday we look in on racing down in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

An interesting field of twelve will go to the gate in this Allowance feature, the last on the card. There is plenty of speed as you would expect in a sprint distance. Speed numbers are very close. Stakes Saturday in Florida

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. We are hopeful that horse racing will come back as more and more jurisdictions began to fight off this pandemic and open their economies to sports.

On this Stakes Saturday we take a look at a small stakes race down in usually sunny South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {Unbridled Stakes~1 1/16~3 year-old~Stakes}

A small field of seven is signed up to go to the gate in this featured stakes race. There is some speed to create an honest pace. Only two in this field have gone this distance. Speed figures are fairly close among this crew. With Kentucky Derby 146 re-scheduled for the first Saturday in September, it is possible that these fellas might get onto the trail going forward.
It should be a very fine race.

#2 Americanus (Zayas / Hennig) looks to take another step forward as he stretches out to this distance. He has a 100% in the money record over the Gulfstream Track. This colt comes in with the fifth highest last out speed number and three hearty peaking workouts. A son of War Front, he should be tracking the pace closely looking to strike.

Furlong Friday Turf Sprint in South Florida

On this Furlong Friday we take a look at a good Turf Sprint in South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 5 {5 Furlongs~3 year-old Up~Allowance}

A good field of eight will step on to the Turf in this Allowance feature. There is plenty of speed to push the pace. Speed figs are very close making this one competitive. It should be a fine Friday race to kick off our Horse Racing Weekend.

#6 Frenchmen Street (L. Saez / Maker) might have the edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and two solid workouts. This lad is 88% in the money at the distance. He should be forwardly placed with a large group. A son of Malibu Moon, loves the surface, distance, and Gulfstream Park course.

#2 Tiger Blood (Zayas / Klesaris) will present a mighty challenge with the third highest last out speed number and one peaking workout.  This guy has eight wins from nine starts at this distance. #7 Sturgeon (Panici / Condie) should also challenge sharing the highest last out speed number. He drops in from a last out stakes race holding a 61% in the money record at this distance. A son of Great Sense, he is yet another that will join the speedsters.

#3 Chaps (C. Landeros / Kenneally) will contend with the second highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This gelding is coming in off an extended layoff last racing at Churchill Downs. A son of More Than Ready, he is 60% in the money at this distance.

Stakes Saturday at Oaklawn Park

Some great racing down in Hot Springs, Arkansas is on tap for our Stakes Saturday.

An Arky Stakes Saturday

A good day to watch and wager on horse racing as we all continue to be safe and secure against the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is nice to have the horses running during these perilous times, On this Stakes Saturday we take a look at nice sprint down in Arkansas.

A very nice group of nine fillies will enter the gate in this annual event. There is overwhelming speed among these lasses. Speed numbers are very, very close making this a highly competitive contest. Top to bottom this is a great bunch of sprinters. It could be the best and most exciting race on this Saturday.

#1 Kimari (Hill / W. Ward) makes the switch from Turf to dirt for this race. She holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and four super strong workouts.
