Tampa Bay Downs Race 7 {1 mile~TURF~4 year old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}
A equally competitive group of nine will go to the grass.  Only a few are in for the tag.  The speed is modest and likely to allow the forwardly placed to have their way with this field.  It should be a good race over the Turf.

#4 Royal Hill (Allen / Rountree) can be considered the sole speed in the race and with nicely paced fractions, could wire this field.  He shows the highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at this distance, a three race progression, and the highest speed number over the Tampa Bay course.  Watch him run.

#6 Ridin' Wild (DeLa Cruz / Patrick) could be one of those pressing the pace with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and a stout 83% in the money record in twelve career starts.  He appears to be in top form and should challenge well.

#7 Smarts (Spieth / Sheppard) could surprise with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and two proficient workouts.  He is lightly raced and can be forwardly placed to secure a piece of the purse pie.  He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#5 Porcupine (Cedeno / D. Ward) should be in the hunt with third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one solid workout.  This guy is 70% in the money at this distance over ten races.  He could track and wait for his opening.

Stakes Saturday on the Derby Trail

Stakes Saturday brings us two exciting graded stakes races along the Kentucky Derby trail.  Both are in the Sunshine state of Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 10 {Hutcheson~G2~7 furlongs~3 year old~Stakes}
A terrific field of ten KD 139 aspirants will make the start.  There is a ton of speed in this event which may help those coming from off the pace.  Only three have run at this distance.  The majority will be stretching out a little longer in this sprint.

#3 Weekend Hideaway (Bravo / Serpe) has an edge with a pure pressing style.  He should be able to stay close to the pace and get first jump on the field.  With the second highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two strong peaking workouts, this guy should be able to motor home fluidly.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#8 Honorable Dillon (Rocco / Kenneally) should put forth a nice challenge with the fourth highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two robust workouts.  He should use his pressing/tracking style to great benefit.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 Undrafted (Saez / Ward) most assuredly will be in the hunt sharing the second highest last out speed number at a mile route, working a two race progression, and putting in three superb workouts.  He should be able to use his speed to hold on for a piece.

#1 Forty Tales (J. Velazquez / Pletcher) should be in the mix with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two satisfying workouts.  This guy could track the pace and strike in the stretch.

#1A Dynamic Sky [ONT-C] (Contreras / Casse) could very well be the one to beat with the highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts.  His coupled entry, #1 Northern Lion (Husbands / Casse) is no slouch either with his tactical speed, a win at this distance and three hearty workouts.  Either one of these guys could pull off the victory.
$1 WIN / $1 SHOW.

#4 My Name Is Michael (Rosario / Mott) will provide a mighty challenge sharing the highest last out speed number, working a four race progression, and putting in three stupendous workouts including two bullets.  This Woodbine invader could track the pace ready to finish rapidly in the stretch.

Other Wagering Interests

#3 Divine Ambition (Martinez / Miller) should be in the mix with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust peaking workouts.  He should be forwardly placed ready to rumble.

#8 Falling Sky (Saez / Terranova) is cross-entered here and in the aforementioned race.  Should he go in this one he has a shot.  This son of Lion Heart shares the highest last out speed number, holds a two race progression, and has put in three hearty, peaking workouts.  His pressing attack could be a good factor in the race.
