 On this Superfecta Sunday we go to that great little track in Kentucky, Turfway Park.

A flush field of twelve will hit the synth in this penultimate race on today's card.

There is sufficient speed and forwardly placed types to warrant an honest pace. Speed figs are very close among this group. Only three will attempt the synthetic for the first time. It should be a fantastic race to wager and watch.

#10 Fly Nightly (Emigh / Vandenberg) comes out of a Turf race up at Hawthorne Race Course finishing third there. This gelding holds the highest speed number at the distance and over the synthetic, albeit Polytrack. Look for him to be close to the pace. #1 Prince Maior (Machado / Lobo) comes in out of a Turf race at Mountaineer where he was victorious. He has the tactical speed to fit the pace that develops. He has hit the board in his only attempt over this surface at Turfway. A son of Data Link, he is 66% in the money from nine career starts.

LA Champions Day in the Big Easy

 Another great Saturday filled with competitive stakes races around the country. We look in on the Louisiana breds down in the Big Easy.

Fair Grounds Race Course Race 11 {LA Champions DayTURF Stakes~1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

A reduced field of eleven will go the the grass in this annual event.

This competitive field will have enough speed to produce an honest pace on the Fair Grounds Turf course. Speed numbers are fairly close. All, but two have gone this distance. Same for traveling over the Fair Grounds course. It should be a great race.

#3 Carleas Dream (R. Gutierrez / Jacks) has already notched three wins at this distance from four tries. This lad shows the highest last out speed number and one bullet workout. This guy should track the pace closely and get first jump on the leaders. A gelded son of Lea, he is 72% in the money from eighteen career starts.

A talented field of eleven will go to the green in this annual affair.

This race has a plethora of speed which could produce intriguing results. Speed figs are fairly close among many of these gals. Only five have covered the Fair Grounds course. All but two have gone this short Turf distance. It should be a very excellent race to wager and watch.

#10 Elle's Town (C. Hernandez / Broberg) comes in from Remington Park with the highest last out speed number and one efficient workout. She has the tactical speed to see how the pace develops and react accordingly. She loves the surface, distance, and Fair Grounds course. A daughter of Speightstown, she is 65% in the money from twenty-nine career starts.
