We start off our Horse racing weekend with a nice route on Maryland soil.
Laurel Park Race 6 {1 1/8 mile~3 year old Up~Claiming}
A nice group of eight will go to the gate in this longer route race. There are a couple of speedsters that should keep the pace honest. The speed numbers are relatively close making this a competitive event.
#5 Minor Crisis (Conner / Robb) may have the edge with the fourth highest last out speed number and a two race progression. He will be stretching out to this distance for the first time. This lad is 100% in the money over the Laurel course from three starts. He should be part of the closing contingent.
$2 SHOW.
#4 I'm Da Big Man (Rocco / Vukelic) should challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one stout workout. He has gone this distance over the Turf. A closing kick should be expected from this fella.
#1 Tafawuk (Toledo / Saville) should contend with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two superb workouts. He is another closer that should battle bravely in the stretch. This guy has raced overseas to start off his career.
#3 Double Whammy (Russell / Jacobson) should be prominent with the third highest last out speed number. He is coming down from Aqueduct for this foray on Maryland dirt. This guy might have the highest class of the group.
10 CENT Superfecta
Remember, despite the fact that Laurel Park offers a 10 CENT Superfecta, one has to cobble a minimum wager of $1.00.
#5 Minor Crisis, #4 I'm Da Big Man, #1 Tafawuk / #5, #4, #1 / #5, #4, #1 / #3 Double Whammy, #8 Two Punch Two.

Superfecta Sunday in Florida
Today we take a look at nice mile race in sunny South Florida.
Gulfstream Park Race 9 {Adventura Handicap~1 mile~3 year old~Stakes}
A solid group of nine will go to the gate in this feature race. There is enough speed to maintain an honest pace. The majority in here have speed numbers that closely resemble one another. Our task is to attempt to put together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#4 Dudeman (Lezcano / Cibelli) might have a slight edge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a four race progression, and three stout workouts. He also holds the second highest speed number at the distance as well as a 100% in the money record from two starts at same. He should be forwardly placed ready to strike.
#8 Montana Cowboy (Gonzales / Wolfson) should challenge sharing the highest last out speed number, working a three race progression, and putting in two robust workouts. He will be stretching out to this distance from a forwardly placed position. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.
#3 Quiet Ruler (Valdivia / Zito) could take another step forward as this lightly raced fella stretches out to this distance. He holds the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one good workout. Should a fast pace develop he will be closing swiftly.
#5 Atreides (Zayas / Wolfson) should be the favorite with the third highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and four sensational workouts. He should be forwardly placed seeking to notch his fourth win at Gulfstream Park. This guy also holds the top speed figure at the distance, a triple digit one.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#4 Dudeman + #8 Montana Cowboy + #3 Quiet Ruler + #5 Atreides.
