There is enough speed and forwardly placed types to carry a quick pace. Speed numbers are very close making it competitive. All have raced on the Fair Grounds Turf and at this distance. It should be a fine race.

Furlong Friday at the Fair Grounds

A chilly Furlong Friday in NOLA as we look in on the last on the card at the Fair Grounds.

Fair Grounds Race 9 {6 Furlongs~4 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~LA~Claiming}

A good group of seven will go to the gate in the last race of the New Orleans day. There is a plethora of speed which should produce a sizzling pace. Speed numbers are fairly close for these Louisiana bred gals. It should be an excellent race to cap off a Furlong Friday.

#3 Bull Headed Woman (Mena / Johnston) looks to take another step up with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two stout workouts. She should follow snuggly as the leaders go through the pace calls. With this much speed signed on, she may benefit greatly.

#4 Rose's Asset (Bonilla / Faucheux) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number and a two race progression. She holds the highest speed number at the distance. With some tactical speed, she could surprise.
