Aqueduct to Fairgrounds

On this Sunday we look at a couple of nice sprint races.  One each at Aqueduct and at Fairgrounds.

Aqueduct Race 8 {6 furlongs~4 year old Up~fillies/mares~Optional Claiming}
A small field of six goes to the gate.  Hour Glass (Cohen / Pletcher) has a small edge with a good speed number over the distance and three quality workouts.  She has a 100% in the money record over this six furlong distance.  La Concerto (Lopez / Asmussen) will challenge as she has superb speed figures across the board.  La Concerto also has put in a fine workout and likes the Aqueduct track.  Lights Off Annie (Dominguez / Levine) has strong speed numbers across the board and the best workout tab of the group.  She also has the highest speed number over the Aqueduct track.  Let's play Aqueduct.

$2 SHOW:  #4 Hour Glass
$2 SHOW: #5 Lights Off Annie
NO 10 CENT Superfecta fot this race.

Fairgrounds Race 7 {5 1/2 Furlongs~Turf~4 year old Up~Allowance}
A full field of sprinter lines up for this turf race.  Handleman (Hernandez / Margolis) appears to be the best prepared to take this race.  An exellent last out speed number coupled with a couple of decent workouts should get this guy to the wire first.  His chief competition will be More Than Tactics (Valenzuela / Nicks).  He shows a last out speed number, the highest speed number at the distance, and three fine workouts should be able to get him there.  He is a speedster coming from an outside post.  Capt Obvious (Torres / Foley) has had some time off, but fired a great workout prepping for this race.  He looks ready.  Both Central City (Theriot / Werner) and Rubicund (Perrodin / Mouton) will be factors in this race.  Rubicond has speed and has put in three good workouts.  Central City is moving from dirt to grass with three exceptional workouts.  Trainer, Ronny Werner is 47% in the money with starters going on the grass for the first time.  This race promises to be a very exciting race.  Let's play Fairgrounds.
