The Horse Racing Weekend Starts at Churchill

Ahh, the start of another glorious horse racing weekend.  Today we look at a splendid Turf race at Churchill Downs.

A great field of eight will go to the gate for this Turf contest.  This will be a close race between two favorites.  Au Moon (Bridgmohan / Carroll) looks ready to do battle with the third highest last out speed number and one quality workout.  Also ready for battle is Skipadate (Torres / Romans) with the second highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and three robust workouts.  Looking for a piece of the purse pie will be Classical Closing (Theriot / Whiting) with the fourth highest last out speed number, and one athletic workout.  Another who will be seeking a piece of the purse pie will be El Crespo (Borel / Arnold) with a decent last out speed number and two solid workouts.  Let's play Churchill Downs.

Last Sunday's (6/13) Results
Monmouth R8.  Our first pick, Macjoey, finished 6th.  Our second pick, Cappiwino, finished 3rd for show money of $3.00.  Superfecta went 2-10-9-8.
Hollywood R8. Our first pick, Zenyatta, won (1st) for win money of $3.00.  Our second pick, St. Trinians [GB], finished 2nd for show money of $2.20.  No 10 CENT Superfecta.
Bankroll remains unchanged at $22.30.
