Surf Meets the Turf on Stakes Saturday

On this Stakes Saturday we take in the greatness that is Del Mar.

Del Mar Race 4 {Eddie Read~G2~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A field of seven familiar faces will take to the green in this annual event. There is speed to maintain an earnest pace. Speed numbers are very close making it any horse's race. This should be an extremely exciting race.

#5 Up With the Birds (Theriot / D'Amato) comes back after a brief freshening. He holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and four superb workouts. A son of Stormy Atlantic, he should be motoring home quickly into a decent pace.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#6 Ashleyluvssugar (Stevens / Eurton) should go off as the favorite with the highest (3-way tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and four excellent workouts. He also races fresh. An expert at this distance and over the Del Mar course, this son of Game Plan, should be forwardly placed.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Abbey Vale [IRE] (Frey / O'Neill) should improve once again sharing the third highest last out speed figure, working a two race progression, and throwing down two prime peaking workouts. This son of Moss Vale [IRE] should be tracking the leaders with fortitude.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#3 Kenjisstorm (Bejarano / Baltas) should be in the mix sharing the highest last out speed number, holding an eight race progression, and putting in two hearty workouts. This lad enjoys the distance and has the tactical speed to fit into whatever pace develops. Another son of Stormy Atlantic to hit the green..
