Furlong Friday at the Fair Grounds

Off we go down to NOLA for our Furlong Friday.

Fair Grounds Race 5 {6 Furlongs~2 year-old~Fillies~Maiden Claiming}

An intriguing crop of eight will go to the gate in an attempt to get in a win before the year runs out. There is a little speed, but three first time starters who may or may not be sent making for an very interesting race. Of those who have already gotten a race under their saddle, the speed numbers are very close. It should be an exciting race.

#7 Sacred Storm (Geroux / Howard) should go off as the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three robust workouts. She is coming in from Churchill Downs after facing tougher there. She should track the pace and launch into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#9 Soco Unbridled (Theriot / Calhoun) should challenge after earning a decent speed number in her first try at Churchill. Since then she has put in three superb peaking workouts. This gal holds the highest purchase price of any in this field.

#3 Divorce (Sutherland / E. Rodriguez) has had six attempts to break her maiden, though has hit the board in three of those efforts. She holds the second highest last out speed number and has put in one sound workout.
