Keeneland Turf for Stakes Saturday

 The Keeneland Fall meet closes out today as many handicappers begin looking over the pre-entries for the Breeder's Cup at Keeneland next weekend. We look at a graded Turf stakes race on this Stakes Saturday.

Keeneland Race 8 {Bryan Station Stakes~G3~1mile~TURF~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A highly talented field of twelve three year-olds will hit the green in this grade three Turf race.

A great field will create the best race on this Stakes Saturday. There is enough speed in here to maintain a solid pace. Speed figs are very close making it competitive as well. Only one millionaire (#5 Classic Causeway) makes an appearance. There are four also eligibles which if they draw in could be also rans. All are well prepped for this race with very good workout tabs. It should be a terrific race.

#2 Balnikov [IRE] (Gaffalione / D'Amato) comes in from the West coast with the second highest last out speed number at a longer route and three superb workouts. He loves this distance and surface. Look for him to close smashingly. A son of Adaay [IRE], he is 69% in the money from thirteen career starts.

#5 Classic Causeway (B. Hernandez / McPeek) fired off three triple digits in his last three including the top speed last out. Combine that with two sound workouts, he will challenge. Look for him to be forwardly placed ready to strike coming into the stretch. A millionaire son of Giant's Causeway, he is 75% in the money from twelve career starts.

#8 Wit (J. Ortiz / Pletcher) is expected to go off as the favorite exiting a fine first palce finish at Saratoga. He has put in three hearty workouts preparing fot this race. He should track the pace and tunnel through the stretch. A son of Practical Joke, he is 87% in the money from eight career starts. 

$2 SHOW.

#11 Stolen Base (Corrales / Maker) will contend with the second highest speed number at the distance and four super strong workouts. This lad will track and close into a strong pace. He relishes the surface, course and distance. A son of Bodemeister, he is 54% in the money from eleven career starts.

$1 SHOW.

#1 Ready to Perform (Rosario / B. Cox) is exactly that. He has the tactical speed to win the race coming off a longer turf route. Son of Kitten's Joy, he is 72% in the money from seven career starts.

#7 Double Clutch (Lanerie / Arnold) also comes off a longer Turf route with four excellent peaking workouts. A son of Optimizer, he is 60% in the money from five career starts.
