A Santa Anita Stakes Saturday

 With the Breeder's Cup only four weeks away, we take a look at a fine Stakes race at beautiful Santa Anita, the site of this year's Breeder's Cup.

Santa Anita Park Race 8 {Awesome Again Stakes~G1~1 1/8 mile~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A great group of nine will go to the gate in this win and you're in Breeder's Cup challenge series race.

There is plenty of speed to keep the pace rolling well. Four millionaires enter the race. Speed figs are very close. All of these have been well prepped workout wise. Only one has yet to go this distance. Two will make their first Santa Anita appearance. It should be a fantastic race on an exceptionally good card.

#4 Skinner (M. Smith / Shirreffs) should track a speedy pace and stirke in the strength. He holds the third highest last out speed number at a longer route and two superb workouts. This guy enjoys the surface, distance and track. A son of Curlin, he is 62% in the money from eight starts.

#9 Stiletto Boy (Desormeaux / Moger) should be forwardly placed with the highest speed number at the distance and two sound workouts. He excels over the surface, distance and on the Santa Anita track. A millionaire son of Shackleford, he is 70% in the money from twenty-four career starts.

#3 Slowdown Andy (M. Gutierrez / O'Neill) comes in with the highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. He will be part of the speed scenario. He is another that loves the surface, distance, and track. A millionaire son of Nyquist, he is 84% in the money from thirteen starts.
