 On this Superfecta Sunday we look in on the "Lucky Last" down in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Fair Grounds Race 8 {6 Furlongs~3 year-old~Maiden Claiming}

An interesting field of nine will go to the gate in this "lucky last" on the card.

This is a challenging race to handicap. Four of the entrants will be making their first start. One will make his first start on the dirt. The balance have all raced over the a dirt surface. There are a couple that should be forwardly placed which should produce an honest pace. For those that have raced the speed numbers are very close. It should be a fine race to finish the horse racing weekend.

#6 Ellie's Boyfriend (Torres / Silva) will be making his second start with the highest last out speed number and two solid workouts. In that first race he hit the board over this surface, distance, and track. Look for him to be forwardly placed. A son of Heart to Heart, he is 100% in the money from his only start.

#1 English Bobby (Parker / Claire) will be switching surface from Turf to dirt. He holds the second highest last out speed number at a route and two sound peaking workouts. He should track the pace closely. This lad should challenge. A son of English Channel, he will be attempting to hit the board for the first time.

#9 Nonchalant (Cohen / Rivelli) is a first time starter with three power workouts in preparation. He was a 450k purchase. A regal son of Justify, he should contend.

#4 Three Point Strut (Morales / Camejo) comes off a mile route with the fourth highest last out speed number and one decent workout. This colt should track the pace. A son of Cairo Prince, he is 25% in the money from four starts.

#2 Garnet Jubilee (Murrill / Hartman) is another first-time starter. He has two hearty workouts in preparation. Trainer stats are excellent for his first-time starters. A gelded son of Collected, he has a chance to take this one.

#5 Cookn Wit Catman (Guerrero / Wilson) willl be looking to hit the board for the first time. He shares the third highest last out speed number and two favorable workouts. He should be tracking the pace. A son of Liam's Map, he certainly has a chance to be in the mix.
