Superfecta Sunday on the Turf

 We take in a fantastic Turf race down in Tampa on this Superfecta Sunday.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~4-year-old Up~Allowance}

A good field of ten will hit the grass in the lucky last on the card.

There is sufficient speed to produce an honest pace in this race. Only three will try the Tampa Turf for the first time. All have gone the mile distance. Speed numbers are fairly close making it competitive race. It should be a fine race to wager and watch.

#10 Tux (D. Centeno / Mott) will be making the switch from dirt to Turf. This lad should track the pace closely and spring into the stretch. He enters the race after an extended layoff. Four superb workouts add to his capability. Sound trainer stats for surface switch and layoff indicate that he is well positioned for the win. #9 Chicago Theatre (Morales / Proctor) should set-up right behind the speed. He comes to the race with the second highest last out speed number and one decent workout. This guy loves the Turf, distance, and course. A son of Medaglia d'Oro, he is 60% in the money from five starts.

#7 Thundering (Marin / Ryan) holds the highest (tie) last out speed number and one sound workout. Look for him to track the pace closely. He has strong performances on the Turf, at the distance, and on the course. A son of Mosier, he is 54% in the money from eleven starts.

#6 Noble Factor (A. Gallardo / Arriagada) should be part of the large tracker pack getting position. He holds the third highest last out speed number. This guy is another that loves the Turf, distance, and course. A son of The Factor, he is 83% in the money from twelve starts.

#1 Growth Capital (Rojas / Vargas) should be forwardly placed. He has a 75% win rate over the Tampa course. This guy raced at a slightly longer distance last out. He relishes the Turf and distance. A son of War Front, he is 52% in the money from nineteen starts.
