Oh Canada Stakes Saturday

 We go up North to Canada for today's Stakes Saturday.

Woodbine Race 10 {Queens Plate Stakes~1 1/4 mile~3 year-old~Canada Bred~Stakes}

This is the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown. It promises to be an excellent race with fourteen going to post.

This should be a very good wagering opportunity for all handicappers. This field of fourteen is composed of two fillies, four geldings, and eight colts. All are three year-old's. There is a pack that will want to be forwardly placed pushing an honest pace. All will be stretching out to this distance for the first time.Speed numbers are very close with eight hitting an 80 Beyer figure or above. These horses are all well prepped with very good workout tabs. It should be the best race of the day.

#12 Clayton (R. Hernandez / K. Attard) is the morning line favorite with the second highest (tie) and two sound peaking workouts. This colt loves the surface and the Woodbine track. He should be part of the forwardly placed pack ready to roll into the stretch. A son of Bodemeister, he is 100% in the money including three wins from four career starts.

#2 Merveilleux (Kimura / K. Attard) should challenge as a filly going up against the boys. She shares the second highest last out speed number and has put in two speedy peaking workouts. She is one of the more seasoned of the field. Look for her to be part of the front pack looking for position. A daughter of Paynter, she is 75% in the money from eight career starts.

#6 Halo Again (Contreras / Asmussen) will contend with the third highest (tie) last out speed number and two solid workouts. This guy is another that should travel among the front pack. He is another that likes the surface and the Woodbine track. A son of Speightstown, he is 66% in the money from six career starts.

$1 SHOW.

#9 Dotted Line (Stein / S. Attard) will be in the mix sharing the third highest last out speed number and two hearty workouts. This gelding has the tactical speed to make good use of whatever pace develops. He does like the surface and the Woodbine track. A son of Signature Red, he is 62% in the money from eight career starts.

#10 Curlin's Voyage (husbands / J. Carroll) should be one of the favorites upon entering the gate. This filly enjoys the highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. She will be going for her third win in a row. Look for her to take up a tracking position ready to strike. A daughter of Curlin, she is 88% in the money from nine career starts.

Furlong Friday Results

Arlington International Racecourse R8.  Our first pick, Darlin Rosie, finished 3rd for show money of $3.90.  Our second pick, Looktheotherway, finished 2nd for show money of $2.40.

We just missed on our 10 CENT Superfecta Box play grabbing three of the four wagering interests required to cash. Superfecta went 4-2-8-5.

Bankroll gets smacked and drops to $75.42.
