On this Sunday we go to the "Valley of the Sun" for some nice Turf action.
Turf Paradise Race 8 {7 1/2 Furlongs~TURF~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A field of ten will line up for this grass allowance feature. There is sufficient speed to keep the pace going. After the three most outstanding horses in this group, it is a tough one to figure out. Let's try to forge a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.
#9 Collating Lady (Franco / Silva) looks dominating among this field with the second highest last out speed number off a route and one strong workout. She has raced well at both Hollywood Park and Santa Anita earlier this year. She should be able to take advantage of the pace with her tracking and closing running style.
#4 Triveni [FR] (Carreno / S. Callaghan) could be well spotted for this race with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two robust, peaking workouts. This French bred filly also has the highest speed number at the distance. She is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.
#6 Laura Beasley (Ochoa / McFarlane) should be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and one good workout. She holds the third best speed number at the distance along with a 57% in the money record. Her tracking/closing style will benefit her today.
#1 Serious Stuff (Bridges / McFarlane) could have the speed to hold on with the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and one bullet workout. She could surprise.
10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)
#9 Collating Lady + #4 Triveni [FR] + #6 Laura Beasley + #1 Serious Stuff.

Fair Grounds Race 6 {1 mile~TURF~3 year old Up~Allowance}
A nice group of ten Turfers will go to the gate in this feature. The field is very closely matched. It happens to come up with very slight speed which will make it very interesting.
#6 Major Gain (Graham / Roussell) has a slight edge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two solid workouts. He has performed well over the distance and the Fair Grounds course. He should take up a tracking position and explode into the stretch.
$1 WIN / $2 SHOW.
#1 At The Pulpit (Eramia / Lovell) will challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number, a two race progression, and one credible workout. This guy will also take up a tracking position and join the battle in the stretch run.
