Resting on Laurel

We open our horse racing weekend with a superb sprint at Laurel.

Laurel Park Race 8 {7 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Allowance}
A gigantic field of fourteen line up for this dirt sprint.  There is enough speed to keep the pace honest.  Most have not gone this distance making it a very compelling handicapping challenge.

#8 Merryland Moon (Pimentel / Trombetta) should sit right off the leaders ready to make a move with the fourth highest last out speed number at a route and one tenacious workout.  This gal likes the Maryland track.
$2 SHOW.

#10 Glorietta Bay (Rose / McLaughlin) should share front running duties with a couple of decent last out speed numbers at routes, a two race progression, and one glorious workout.  She is shipping in from New York for this allowance feature.
$2 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#2 Ridethesilvertrain (Cruise / Frock) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number and a three race progression.  She holds the highest speed number at this distance which resulted in a win.  A nice tracking style will give an edge over this crowded field.

#6 Miss Hard Ten (Russell / Cox) could take another step forward with the third highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one solid workout.  She should also benefit with her tracking style.

10 CENT Superfecta

#8 Merryland Moon / #10 Glorietta Bay / #2 Ridethesilvertrain / #6 Miss Hard Ten.

Last Superfecta Sunday (12/16) Results
Fair Grounds R8.  Allowance.  We only captured two wagering interests in our 10 CENT Superfecta box.  Superfecta went 5-9-7-4.
Our Bronze horseshoe runner, Just Like Juliet, finished 7th.
Bankroll plummets to $2.61.  We will supplement with a ten spot for this horse racing weekend.
