Stakes Saturday in Ol' Kentucky

We go to the Turf for this Stakes Saturday in Kentucky.

Churchill Downs Race 10 {Cardinal Handicap~G3~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Fillies/Mares~Graded Stakes}

A good group of nine ladies, after early scratches, will hit the good Turf. All have hit the board over good rated Turf in early efforts. The race comes up a little light on speed which could produce a Euro-quickening heading into the stretch. Speed numbers are very close over the Turf. It should be a highly competitive race.

#9 Linda (B. Hernandez / Wilkes) might have the edge with the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number, a three race progression, and three superb workouts. She loves the Turf and the Churchill course. This daughter of the late Scat Daddy, will be stretching out to the distance. She should track the pace comfortably.
$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5  SHOW.

#2 Tricky Escape (DeCarlo / Ashby) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and two hearty, peaking workouts. This gal is a solid 84% in the money overall from thirteen starts. She has notched a win at this distance and appears to be in top form. A daughter of Hat Trick [JPN], she is another that will be tracking the pace.
$2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#10 Fair Point (Gaffalione / McGaughey) will be stretching out from the sprinting ranks to this distance. She holds a couple of good last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two robust workouts. A daughter of Smart Strike, she should be able to track and close smartly given the extra bit of ground.
$2 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#7 Beauty [GB] (Lanerie / Walsh) comes in off a grade one race where she produced the highest last out speed number. She holds a six race progression and one solid workout. She has covered this distance twice before amongst keener competition. A daughter of Sea the Stars [IRE], she will be tracking and closing swiftly.
