Holiday Monday Racing

Remember our fallen hero's who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

On this Memorial Day there is sensational horse racing from coast to coast. We zero in on a smashing grade one Turf race at Santa Anita.

Santa Anita Park Race 7 {Shoemaker Mile~G1~1 mile~TURF~3 year-old up~Graded Stakes}

A great field of eight will hit the green in this annual contest. There is enough speed to keep an honest pace up front. Speed numbers are fairly close for these Turf specialists. Two millionaires will make a good go of it attempting to add more stacks to their treasure. It should be an exceptionally exciting race.

#2 Bowies Hero (Nakatani / D'Amato) might have the edge in this one. He holds the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three strong workouts. This lad should track the pace and close efficiently in the stretch. A son of Artie Schiller, he leads the group at 77% in the money performance at this distance.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#8 Next Shares (Bejarano / Baltas) should challenge with a couple of very good last out speed numbers and four exceptional workouts. He loves the Santa Anita course and distance. A son of Archarcharch, he will be running late into a decent pace. Like many in this contest, he comes in fresh off a short layoff.

#6 Heart to Heart (Leparoux / Lynch) is the deserved favorite coming off two high quality wins. He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and four hearty workouts. A son of English Channel, he should be part of the pace. This millionaire holds fifteen victories.

#1 Om (Talamo / Hendricks) should contend as part of the pace factor in the race. He holds the third highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and four superb peaking workouts. A son of Munnings, he shares the highest speed number at the distance with the favorite.
