Superfecta Sunday in South Florida

Another fine Superfecta Sunday as Fall draws to a close. We take a peek at a terrific Turf race in South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 4 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Maiden Special Weight}

A good group of nine maidens will hit the Florida Turf seeking their first victory. There is a little speed to keep a decent pace on. A couple of first time starters make their appearance making the race intriguing. Of those that have run, the speed figs are fairly close. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket. It should be a fascinating race.

#7 Holy Meister (Torres / M. Casse) is coming off a modest layoff and should be able to take another step forward. He holds the second highest last out speed number and three diligent workouts. This lad loves the Turf, distance and the Gulfstream course. A son of Bodemeister, he should track and close swiftly. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#9 Motataabeq (Leparoux / McLaughlin) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number and three strong workouts. This guy raced at Belmont and Saratoga in his first two starts among keen competition. A son of City Zip, he should relish the Florida Turf and distance.

#5 Rise n' Shine (P. Lopez / Dwoskin) switches from dirt to Turf in this third career start. He has already tackled this distance scoring the fourth highest (tie) speed number at it. Dropping in distance, this will be his second start of the year. A son of Curlin, he should do well at this distance and over the surface.

#1 Palace Kitten (I. Ortiz / Maker) is a first time starter looking to secure a win at first asking. Connections are top shelf. He has put in four excellent workouts in preparation for this start. He is the son of legendary Turf sire, Kitten's Joy; love of the Turf and distance is in his blood.
