A "Big A" Superfecta Sunday

 As we move through November it seems the fields tend to thin out a bit. On this Superfecta Sunday we take in a Grade three event for the youngsters.

Aqueduct Race 9 {Nashua Stakes~G3~1 mile~2 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A good field of seven hearty youngsters will battle in this mile race.

Past Performances used:  DRF Formulator.

The field is evenly divided among the forwardly placed types and those that are beginning to a develop an off the pace style of running. Given that, it should be an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close for a bunch with few races to their credit. All will look to improve. None have raced at Aqueduct yet. Our task is to string together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be a fine race.

#4 Pickin' Time (McCarthy / Breen) could have the benefit of more experience having completed four races already. He shows the third highest last out speed number and one solid workout heading into the race. Look for him to track close to the pace ready to strike. This guy is one of three who have already gone this distance. A son of Stay Thirsty, he is 75% in the money from four career starts. This colt is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.

$1 SHOW.

#1 Ten for Ten (Cancel / McGaughey) should go off as the favorite having hit the board in both of his starts. He holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number at a longer route and three hearty workouts. He could show early speed in this race. A son of Frosted, he is 100% in the money from two career starts.

#6 Civil War (Juarez / Albertrani) is coming out of a grade one race at Belmont Park. His speed numbers are improving and he has put in two robust workouts. Look for him to close swiftly coming around the turn. A son of Bodemeister, he is 50% in the money from two career starts.

#5 Isolate (Torres / Ritvo) should challenge with the highest last out speed number and three dynamite, peaking workouts. This guy is another that could should speed from the gate. He comes into this race having won both of his starts. A son of Mark Valeski, he will be stretching out to this distance.
