Pegasus World Cup Day

 On a great Stakes Saturday we look at the Pegasus World Cup down in South Florida.

Gulfstream Park Race 13 {Pegasus World Cup Stakes~G1~1 1/8 mile~4 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

An ultra-competitive crew of twelve will go to the gate in this annual high level stakes race.

Past Performances used:  Daily Racing Form--Classic.

Any one of these fellas could win this one. The Beyer Speed figs are very close. There is enough speed in this race to create a fast pace. Only five have raced over the Gulfstream track. Three millionaires will load into the gate. It should be a fantastic race to cap off an awesome card.

#4 Hoist the Gold (J. Velazquez / D. Stewart) will stretch out to this distance with the highest last out speed number and three supremely good peaking workouts. He has the tactical speed to adapt to the pace. This millionaire son of Mineshaft, is 53% in the money from twenty-six starts.

$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#8 First Mission (L. Saez / B. Cox) should chase the pace with third highest (tie) last out speed number and four superb workouts. He has hit the board at this distance. A son of Street Sense, he is 100% in the money from five starts.

$2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#7 National Treasure (Prat / Baffert) may go off as the favorite with the second highest last out speed number and four super strong peaking workouts. This guy should show speed from the gate release. A son of Quality Road, he is 60% in the money from ten starts.
