Superfecta Sunday in Kentucky

 On this Superfecta Sunday we journey to Kentucky for a graded stakes race on the dirt.

Churchill Downs Race 8 {Matt Winn Stakes~G3~1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A reduced field of eight will go to the gate in this annual contest.

Plenty of speed to keep the pace frothy. Speed numbers are very close making it a challenging handicapping puzzle. A couple exit the Kentucky Derby last month. Only two have yet to race over the Churchill oval. All are well prepped and ready for the win. Should be a terrific race to wager and watch.

#7 Society Man (Lanerie / Gargan) will track a speedy pace and strike in the stretch. He holds the highest dirt speed fig and has put in two stout workouts. This guy last raced in KD 150 and finished a dismal 16th. He should improve on the drop and distance. A son of Good Magic, he is 50% in the money from six starts.

#5 Rocketeer (Gaffalione / B. Cox) will pose a mighty challenge with the highest (tie) last out speed number and three strong workouts. He should be forwardly placed in the third start of his career. After racing well at Keeneland he will make his first start over the Churchill dirt. A son of Curlin, he is 100% in the money from those two starts.

#2 Who Dey (B. Hernandez / Drury) holds the second highest last out speed number and three hearty workouts. This lad should track the pace closely. He has a win over the Churchill track. A son of Liam's Map, he is 83% in the money from six starts.

#9 Next Level (Loveberry / Desormeaux) shares the highest last out speed number at a longer route and has two supreme workouts. He should take another step forward after a three race speed fig progression. A son of Vino Rosso, he is 50% in the money from ten starts.

#4 West Saratoga (Castanon / Demeritte) has the tactical speed to adapt to whatever pace develops. He last raced in the Derby where he finished 12th. This guy loves the Churchill track having hit the board three out of four races over it. he should bounce back. A son of Exaggerator, he is 72% in the money from eleven starts.

#8 Mighty Message (C. Torres / Amoss) is another that will track the pace closely. He holds the third highest last out speed number and three sturdy workouts. This guy holds a win at the distance in his only effort. A son of Goldencents, he is 60% in the money from five starts.
