We take in a nice Maiden Claiming race down in Hot Springs, Arkansas for our Superfecta Sunday.
Oaklawn Park Race 8 {6 furlongs~3 year-old Up~Maiden Claiming}
A nearly full field of eleven will go to the gate in this superb Maiden Claiming event.
Past Performances used: Equibase.
This one is a little light on speed. Speed figures are somewhat close. Only one First-time starter joins the fray. Two will race over the Oaklawn track for the first time. It should be a very nice race to test one's handicapping skills as we head into Kentucky Derby week.
#7 American Litigator (C. Torres / Medina) is the deserved favorite with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and two solid peaking workouts. He is making his third start in the form cycle. This colt hit the board at the distance and over the track in his last start. A son of Outwork, he is 50% in the money from those two starts.
$2 WIN / $3 PLACE / $5 SHOW.
#4 Heavenlyconveyance (Jara / Tranquilino) comes in out of a high-level Maiden Special Weight race where he earned the fourth highest last out speed number. Two sound workouts add to his arsenal. Look for him to be part of a large tracker pack. A son of Conveyance, he is 50% in the money from four starts.
#8 Solevo (K. Asmussen / S. Asmussen) comes out of a Maiden Special weight race at Houston Race Park where he finished third. He holds one decent workout. This guy is another that will be part of the tracker pack. A son of City of Light, he is 40% in the money from ten starts.
#10 World Fair (Bejarano / Moquett) has double up his last two speed figs earning the highest last out. He should track the pace closely and strike in the stretch. A four year-old gelding he continues to show improvement. This son of Tapiture, is 27% in the money from eleven starts.
Other Wagering Interests
#1 Hey Big Un (Arrieta / Compton) is the lone first-time starter. He has put in there strong workouts in preparation. Strong jockey / trainer stats put him in the mix. A son of The Factor, could surprise.
#3 Major Mack (R. Vazquez / K. Von Hemel) is another that should track the pace closely. He holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number. This guy holds the highest average earnings per race. A son of Omaha Beach, he is 35% in the money from fourteen starts.
