There is plenty of speedy types and pressers to achieve a scintillating pace. Speed figs are fairly close. Only four have run this distance, the balance will be stretching out to the distance. #3 Destino d Oro (Machado / B. Cox) will stretch out to this distance. She holds the fourth highest (tie) last out speed number and four sound workouts. This gal will be closing into a swift pace. She excels on the Turf. A daughter of Bolt d'Oro, she is 100% in the money from three starts.

#4 Princess Attitude (Concepcion / Oliver) is another that will be tracking the pace closely. She holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three robust workouts. This filly will also be stretching out to the distance. A daughter of Frankel [GB], she is 72% in the money from seven starts.

 We journey into the "Pea Patch" to take in some great Turf action.

Ellis Park Race 8 {Nashville Derby~1 1/8 mile~TURF~3 year-old~Stakes}

A reduced field of eight will hit the Turf in this Kentucky Downs preview race.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is sufficient speed in the race to keep the pace flowing. Only two have gone this distance. One has gone longer and the other five will be stretching out. Speed numbers are fairly close. Two entrants have raced over the Ellis Park course. It should be a fine race with a terrific field.

#8 Tomasello (De La Cruz / M. Casse) has hit the board in both of his starts at this distance. He comes into the race with the second highest (tie) last out speed number and three aggressive peaking workouts. Obviously, he loves the Turf and the distance.
