Superfecta Sunday in South Florida

 We take a look at a nice Maiden Claiming race mid-way on the Gulfstream card on this Superfecta Sunday.

Gulfstream Park Race 5 {5 Furlongs~Synthetic~3 year-old Up~Maiden Claiming}

A nice modest field of ten will take to the Tapeta in this mid-card Maiden Claimer.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

There is plenty of forwardly placed types to keep the pace rolling. Speed numbers are fairly close as all entrants have competed over the Tapeta surface. Four in the race will compete at this sprint distance for the first time. All have run over the Gulfstream Tapeta. It should be a good race to wager and watch.

#8 Freedom Street (M. Husbands / S.A. Joseph) is the deserved morning line favorite with the highest last out speed number at slightly longer distance. This lad could show some speed or back off and track the leaders. He finished fourth facing tougher competition in his last. A son of Mendelssohn, he is 25% in the money from four starts.

$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#6 Time for Restraint (Perez / Danner) also competed at a 110 year longer distance in his last. This guy loves the Tapeta, distance, and Gulfstream track. Look for him to track the pace closely. A son of Timeline, he is 57% in the money from seven starts.

#3 Valid Sense (Nicholls / Sierra) hit the board in his last achieving the third highest last out speed number. This colt shows repeater speed figs in his last two. He does share the second highest speed number at the distance. A son of Decisive Moment, he is 33% in the money from eighteen starts.

#9 Fly Commander (Jaramillo / Ochoa) comes to the race with the fourth highest last out speed number and two speedy workouts. He is another that will track the pace closely. A son of Higher Power, he is 46% in the money from fifteen starts.

Other Wagering Interests

#7 What It Tiz (Gonzalez / Snachez) holds the second highest last out speed number and two fine workouts. This guy holds the highest speed number at the distance. Yet another that should track the race closely. A son of Tiz the Law, he is 42% in the money from seven starts.

#2 Enzito (Gil / Barboza) is another that should track the pace closely. He earned a decent last out speed number and has put in three robust workouts in the last thirty days. This gelding should improve in his fourth start. A son of Finale, he is 33% in the money from three starts.
