On to the Turf for Stakes Saturday

 It is Breeder's Cup Championships at Del Mar today. We take a look at the last race on the card where the ladies will battle on the Turf.

A full group of thirteen ladies will hit the Del Mar Turf in this annual event.

Expect the Euro-invaders to dominate this race. There are six in the field. Speed Figs/Time Form ratings are fairly close. Five have competed at the distance, while two will cut back to the distance from their last. Only three have raced over the Del Mar course. There are five millionaires in the field. It comes up a little light on speed. You can expect a euro-quickening as they head into the stretch run. It should be a fantastic race to conclude this year's Breeders Cup Championships.

#9 Cinderella's Dream (Buick / Appleby) comes in from Great Britain. This gal finished second in this race last year. She hopes to win it this year. Her last out time form rating sits will with this group. A daughter of Frankel [GB], she is 46% in the money from thirteen starts.

#6 Diamond Rain [GB] (Loughnane / Appleby) is Euro based coming down from Woodbine. She is another tracker looking to battle for position. This gal holds the highest (tie) last out speed number. She has hit the board in her last three races. This filly will try this distance for the first time though she has competed at longer. Another daughter of Sharmadal, she is 72% in the money from seven starts.

This gal should track the pace closely and get first jump on those coming from off the pace. She will stretch out to the distance. #14 See the Fire [GB] (O. Murphy / Balding) last raced in France where she placed second. She has progressively improved her Time Form ratings in each of her last three races. This gal is another that will track the pace closely. She will go this distance for the first time. A daughter of Sea the Starts [IRE], she is 62% in the money from sixteen starts.

#2 Stellify (Geroux / B. Cox) is the speed of the race and with controlled fractions she could steal this one. This filly holds the third highest (3-way tie) last out speed number and four solid workouts. She holds two wins from two tries at the distance. This lady will be attempting win her fifth straight race. A daughter of Justify, she is 100% in the money from six starts.
