Great Racing on Stakes Saturday

Stakes Saturday in New York.

Aqueduct Race 9 {The Gotham~G3~1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A very nice field of seven will gallop out to the starting gate in this annual Derby prep race. There is some speed to make for an honest pace. Speed numbers are fairly close with many in here ready to take another step forward. All but one in the field are Triple Crown nominees. It should be a terrific race.

#6 Conquest Big E (J. Ortiz / Casse) could move forward in an upset. He holds the third highest last out speed number and has put in three superb peaking workouts. A son of Tapit, he should be tracking the pace ready to strike.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#2 Shagaf (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) will challenge with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and three robust workouts. He will be shooting for his third win in a row while stretching out to this distance for the first time. This son of Bernadini should be forwardly placed.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#7 Sunny Ridge (Franco / Servis) will contend with the highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. This guy has already scored a victory over the Aqueduct track. A son of Holy Bull, he should be tracking the pace closely.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#3 Adventist (Carmouche / Gyarmati) should also pose a significant challenge with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three hearty workouts. This lad is another that should travel smoothly tracking the pace. A son of Any Given Saturday, he has hit the board in both of his career starts over the Aqueduct track.
