Another Turfer at Gulfstream

Hopefully the weather will hold and they will go off on the TURF at magnificent Gulfstream Park for our Friday racing enjoyment.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {1 1/16 mile~TURF~3 year old~Optional Claiming}
A darn good field of eleven will go to the grass in this Friday afternoon feature.  A good deal of speed will be evident in this route which should make for a great race.

#8 Silver Max (Leparoux / Romans) is a speedster that should be the deserving favorite with the highest last out speed number, the highest speed number at the distance, and two excellent workouts.  If he can control the pace, he should speed on to victory.
$1 WIN / SHOW.

#6 Scorcher (J. Velazquez / Carrofallo)  looks ready for this turf route with the third highest (tie) last out speed number off a longer route, a four race progression, and one peaking workout.  He should use his tracking and closing ability to a great effort.
$1 PLACE / SHOW.

#7 Purest Form (Contreras / Fawkes) could surprise sharing the third highest last out speed number, holding a two race progression, and putting in two hearty, peaking workouts.  He should be forwardly placed for a good run.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Winston C (Prado / Mott) will be in the hunt with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two modest workouts.  He should be forwardly placed ready to strike going into the stretch.

#2 Captain Webb (Castellano / Pletcher) will also be in the mix with a couple of decent last out speed numbers, a two race progression, and two robust workouts.  He could track the pace nicely and swoop down into the stretch.
