Big "A" on Stakes Saturday

Another Stakes Saturday rolls up and there are a lot of races to choose from. We select a nice little sprint in New York.

Aqueduct Race 8 {Garland of Roses~6 furlongs~3 year old Up~fillies/mares~Stakes}
A good crop of seven will make the dash to the wire. There is some speed to keep the pace on track. The speed numbers for all of these gals resemble one another. It should be a good race.

#1 Bridghampton (J. Ortiz / Hushion) is coming out of a grade two and might find this level more to her liking. She holds the fourth highest speed number at the distance and has notched a win over the Aqueduct course. This daughter of Bernardini should be forwardly placed and could perform a wire job.
$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#4 Winning Image (Black / Aro) will challenge as the other speedster in the race with the second highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and three superb peaking workouts. This daughter of Southern Image has already had a stellar career with fourteen wins and a 75% in the money record from thirty-two starts.
$1 PLACE  /  $2 SHOW.

#2 Joya Real (Carmouche / DeMasi) should contend with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two hearty workouts.  She has notched two victories at this distance from two starts at same. This daughter of Eddington should track the pace closely ready to spring into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Another Wagering Interest

#6 Willet (Arroyo / Iselin) should be in the hunt with a couple of good last out speed numbers and two robust workouts. She too has notched a win over the Aqueduct course. This daughter of Jump Start holds the highest speed number at the distance and could get first jump on the leaders.

#1 Bridgehampton  /  #4 Winning Image  /  #2 Joya Real  /  #6 Willet, #7, #8.
