Horse Racing Weekend begins at Gulfstream

It is Florida Derby week and we check out a nice Turf match-up to start off our Horse Racing weekend.

Gulfstream Park Race 9 {1 mile~TURF~3 year-old~fillies~Starter Allowance Optional Claiming}
A solid group of Turf fillies will hit the grass in this feature race. There is enough speed to maintain a warm pace. The speed figures all stack up competitively. Any one of these gals could pull off the victory. It should be a superb race.

#1 Madamoiselle Bond [GB] (J. Velazquez / Weaver) might have an edge as she takes up a tracking position and closes strongly. She holds the highest last out speed number, a two race progression, and two sound workouts. This gal is coming off a longer route on the Turf that earned her a win.
$1 WIN  /  $2 SHOW.

#8 Stroke Play (Serpa / Preciado) should challenge with the third highest (three-way tie) last out speed number over a longer route and one excellent workout. She enjoys the Gulfstream Turf and should be closing swiftly into the stretch.
$1 SHOW.

Other Wagering Interests

#4 Princess Zenyi (Zayas / Delgado) will contend sharing the third highest last out speed number at a longer route. She holds the highest speed number of the group at this distance. With a solid pace this gal will be closing smashingly.

#6 My Little Darlings (Lopez / DiMauro) should be in the mix with the second highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and one hearty workout. This filly should be forwardly placed ready to strike.

10 CENT Superfecta

#1 Madamoiselle Bond [GB]  /  #8 Stroke Play  /  #4 Princess Zenyi  /  #6 My Little Darlings.

Last Superfecta Sunday (3/22) Results
Sunland Park R11.  Sunland Derby--G3.  We misfired on our 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket hitting only two of the four wagering interests needed. Superfecta went 1-3-7-6.
Our Bronze Horseshoe runner, Dirt Monster, finished 5th.
Bankroll continues its descent to $19.65.
