Back to Kentucky Turf for Superfecta Sunday

First, allow us to take a knee in quiet reflection for those that perished during the horrible terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001.

On to our glorious Superfecta Sunday where we once again take in a fantastic Turf contest in that horse country known as Kentucky.

Kentucky Downs Race 9 {Dueling Grounds Derby~1 5/16 mile~TURF~ 3 year-olds~Stakes}

A contentious field of eleven will take to the Kentucky Turf in this featured Stakes race. There is a bit of speed to provide an honest pace. Speed numbers appear to be very close making for a competitive contest. Our task is whip-up a winning 10 CENT Superfecta box ticket.

#9 Little Scotty (Prat / Drysdale) might be able to control the pace up front and perform a wire job on this field. He holds the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and three forwardly strengthening workouts. This lad is one of three that have gone this distance and has been in the money in both tries. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$2 SHOW.

#12 Nessy (B. Hernandez / Corrigan) should be able to contend with a couple of decent last out speed numbers and four sensational peaking workouts. His won his lone race at this distance. He should be able to track and close into the pace.

#11 Oscar Nominated (Geroux / Maker) should challenge with the third highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and one solid workout. He is another that will track the pace and close vigorously in the stretch.

#5 Manitoulin (Lanerie / Toner) will contend with the fourth highest last out speed number, an eight race progression, and two hearty workouts. This guy should take up a tracking positon ready to strike. He has raced twice at this distance and has scored a victory.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#9 Little Scotty  +  #12 Nessy  +  #11 Oscar Nominated  +  #5 Manitoulin.
