Stakes Saturday Tonight in Indiana

With Saratoga and Del Mar looming on the horizon, we take in another fine Derby race in Indiana.

Indiana Grand Race 9 {Indiana Derby~G3~1 1/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}

A solid field of nine will take to the gate in this annual graded route. There is plentiful speed to keep the pace humming. Speed numbers are very close which should create a competitive event. Only one in here has ever raced over the Indiana dirt which makes it any horses race. It should be a high quality event under the lights.

#7 Title Ready (Santana / Asmussen) might have the edge sharing the second highest last out speed number at a slightly longer route, working a three race progression, and putting in two strong workouts. This son of More Than Ready should track the pace closely and strike in going into the stretch.
$2 WIN  /  $3 PLACE  /  $5 SHOW.

#4 Dark Vader (Nakatani / Eurton) comes in from California to challenge with the third highest last out speed number and three wicked good workouts. No slouch at this distance he holds the second highest speed number at it. A son of Tale of Ekati, he could be forwardly placed positioned to get first jump on the leaders.
$2 PLACE / $3 SHOW.

#1 Trigger Warning (Rosendo / Rone) looks ready to tackle this distance and hit the board on his third attempt. He shares the second highest last out speed number at a slightly longer route, is working a five race progression, and has put in one quality workout. A son of Candy Ride [ARG], he should battle near the front end as they turn for home.
$2 SHOW.

#8 King Zachary (Albarado / Romans) should go off as the deserved favorite with the highest last out speed number, a three race progression, and two superb workouts. This guy leads the field with an 83% in the money record from six starts. A son of Curlin, he should be tracking the field closely ready to spring into the stretch.
