MILLION DAY

The top TURF event is finally here. The 37th running of the Arlington Million.

Arlington International Race 11 {ARLINGTON MILLION~G1~1 1/4 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Graded Stakes}

A smashing field of nine will hit the grass in this exceptional Turf event. There is enough speed to keep a rolling pace. Speed numbers are fairly close. There are three millionaires in the field and all have a chance for the victory. This race should be one of the most exciting renditions of the high profile Arlington Million.

#2 Magic Wand [IRE] (Lordan / A. O'Brien) might pull off the upset as the only filly in the field. She comes out of a longer Turf route where she disappointed. Her two races prior to that were solid. This gal is 100% in the money at this distance from five starts. A daughter of the esteemed Turf sire, Galileo [IRE], she will be tracking the pace and gun it heading into the stretch.
$2 WIN  /  $3 SHOW.

#3 Bricks and Mortar (I. Ortiz / C. Brown) will go off as the overwhelming favorite. This guy has done nothing wrong in eleven career starts going 100% in the money. This lad has cobbled together five wins in a row securing the highest last out speed number and four premium peaking workouts. A son of Giant's Causeway, he should also be tracking and could close them down.
$2 SHOW.

#9 Intellogent [IRE] (Geroux / Chappel) comes in from France to test his metal against this international cast. He holds the third highest (tie) last out speed number and one strengthening workout. This lad loves the Turf and the distance. A son of Intello [GER], he should be closing swiftly.
$2 SHOW.

#7 Pivione [IRE] (DeSousa / Balding) comes in from Great Britain sharing the third highest last out speed number at a longer Turf route. This lad holds six career wins, four of which have come at this distance. A son of Redoute's Choice [AUS], he should be forwardly placed.
