Long on the Turf for Superfecta Sunday

We celebrate our Superfecta Sunday by going long on the Turf in always intriguing New York.

Belmont Park Race 7 {Point of Entry Stakes~1 1/2 mile~TURF~3 year-old Up~Stakes}

Another short field of seven quality horses will go to the green. There is some speed to keep an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close among these lads. All but one have experience over the Belmont course. Our task is to tack together a winning 10 CENT Superfecta Box ticket. It should be another exciting race.

#5 Pillar Mountain [IRE] comes in off a nice rest after running in a grade three. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number and has put together two good workouts. He also holds the third highest speed number at the distance. A son of Kodiac [GB], he is 62% in the money from eight career starts. Expect him to close with a rush. He is our Bronze Horseshoe selection.
$1 SHOW.

#3 Red Knight (Alvarado / Mott) will challenge with the highest speed number at the distance, the second highest last out speed number,  and two efficient workouts. This lad loves to go long. A son of Pure Prize, he is 68% in the money from sixteen starts. He should track the pace and let loose in the stretch.

#7 Manitoulin (J. Velazquez / Matz) should contend with the third highest last out speed number and three superb peaking workouts. This guy holds the highest speed number over the Belmont course. A son of Awesome Again, he is another that should track and strike.

#2 Carlino (M. Franco / Hennig) could surprise as he makes the switch from dirt to Turf. He has been running consistently and placed fifth last out at this distance. A son of Lemon Drop Kid , he should be closing swiftly. He is an under the radar runner.
