Stakes Saturday at Sunny Gulfstream Park

 All eyes will be on the Pegasus World Cup, but this is an outstanding Gulfstream Park card. Perhaps the best in recent memory. We look at a Turf marathon on the card.

A very competitive field of eleven will hit the Turf for this long distance Turf event.

There is enough speed to carry forward an honest pace. Speed numbers are very close will all of these fellas hitting at least one triple digit in their last three races.Only three will run over the Gulfstream Turf course for the first time. A great race will unfold. 

#4 Abaan (L. Saez / Pletcher) should show controlling speed having hit the board in all three of his races at this distance. He is well prepped with four superb workouts. A son of Will Take Charge, he is 60% in the money from fifteen career starts.

#6 Temple (Geroux / Maker) is a tracker that should explode into the stretch. He holds the second highest (tie) speed number at the distance and four stamina producing workouts. A son of Temple City, he is 61% in the money from thirty-nine career starts.

#5 Agitare [IRE] (Leparoux / Brion) is used to the longer distance and should acquit himself well at this flat distance. He comes out of a longer race with two power workouts in preparation. A son of Teoflio [IRE], he is 36% in the money from thirty-three career starts. He will make his third North American start.

#7 Channel Maker (Gaffalione / Mott) holds the highest last out speed number and four strong workouts. This guy is a consistent sort that loves the surface and distance. A son of English Channel, he is 40% in the money from forty-nine career starts.
