Superfecta Sunday down in South Florida

 Happy New Year 2023.

Happy Birthday to all our Equine Heros.

We make a virtual journey down to South Florida to go long on the Turf in the Lucky Last race on the card.

Gulfstream Park Race 10 {1 1/2 mile~TURF~4 year-old Up~Allowance Optional Claiming}

A talented field of nine will hit the firm turf.

Past Performances used:  Equibase.

None of these lads have gone this marathon distance, but most have the pedigree to make a good run. Speed numbers are fairly close. A few forwardly placed types should give the race an honest pace. It should be a super competitive event. Only three have traveled over the Gulf Stream course adding more intrigue. It should be a very good race to cap off the card.

#4 Six Minus (I. Ortiz / Pletcher) is one of the few that have raced over the Gulfstream course. He ran a decent speed number last out and has solid workout tab going into this event. Look for him to track the pace and strike in the stretch. A son of English Channel, he is 50% in the money from ten career starts.

$1 WIN  /  $2 PLACE  /  $3 SHOW.

#5 Race Craft (Gaffalione / Crichton) should step up nicely with the fourth highest last out speed number and two strong workouts. He has competed over the Gulfstream Tapeta very well utilizing his closing skills. A son of Street Sense, he is 60% in the money from thirty career starts.

#3 Inflation Adjusted (L. Saez / Maker) will challenge with the highest last out speed number and three superb workouts. This guy has a affinity for the Turf. He could be forwardly placed seeking first jump heading into the stretch. A son of Hard Spun, he is 62% in the money from eight career starts.

#2 Malex (Castellano / Delgado) could surprise as he makes his first North American start. He comes in off a modest layoff having raced in Great Britain and Ireland. A son of Kodiak [GB], he has secured a win from four career starts.

Other Wagering Interests

#1 Kartano (Zayas / S. Joseph) is 100% in the money from six starts over the Gulfstream course. Son of Tamarkuz, he should track the pace, then strike.

#9 Shadizzer (Uske / Gulyas) shows some very good speed figs in his last three races. Son of Animal Kingdom, he is 44% in the money from nine career starts.

10 CENT Superfecta Box ($2.40)

#4 Six Minus  +  #5 Race Craft  +  #3 Inflation Adjusted  +  #2 Malex.

10 CENT Superfecta Straight ($4.80)

#4 Six Minus  /  #5 Race Craft,  #3 Inflation Adjusted  /  #2 Malex,  #1 Kartano,  #9 Shadizzer  /  ALL.
