It"s MILLION Day!

Yes, the Arlington Million this year is held at one of the best Turf courses in North America, Colonial Downs. This historic race, once the highlight of the Arlington Park season (RIP beloved Arlington Park), has a fantastic field.

A strong field of eleven will hit the Colonial grass in this great race.

This field has enough speed to churn a fast pace. Only one horse has raced over the Colonial Downs course. Speed numbers are very close with all of these competitors hitting a triple digit speed fig in at least one of their last three races. Four millionaires make an appearance. All have been well prepped for this prestigious race. It should be an incredible race.

#3 Set Piece [GB] (Geroux / B. Cox) will come a closing as this field rounds the turn. He holds the second highest (tie) last out speed number and four hearty workouts. He leads this field with twelve career wins. This guy will stretch out to this distance. A millionaire son of Dansilli [GB], he is 60% in themoney from twenty-eight career starts.

#8 Catnip (B. Hernandez / Stidham) should track the pace closely seeking to strike in the stretch. This four-year-old gelding is the only contestant to have raced over the Colonial course. His last was at a longer distance with a good speed number. Two bullet workouts add to his cache. A son of Kitten's Joy, he is 75% in the money from eight career starts.

#2 Never Explain (Cheminaud / McGaughey) will be coming down in distance with the second highest last out speed number and two solid peaking workouts. He should track the pace somewhat closely. A son of Street Sense, he is 58% in the money from seventeen career starts.
