Oh Baltimore. We look in on the Stakes action at the historic racetrack, Pimlico. The focus will be on the 150th running of the Preakness.
Pimlico Race 13 {Preakness Stakes~G1~1 3/16 mile~3 year-old~Graded Stakes}
A field of nine will go to the gate in the second Jewel of the Triple Crown.
Past Performances used: Equibase.
There is plenty of speed to produce a sizzling pace in this race. Speed numbers are fairly close, though five in the field have already hit triple-digit speed figs. All will be racing over the Pimlico track for the first time. Only one has gone this exact distance. Three exit the Kentucky Derby which is slightly longer. It should be a fine classic for the record books.
