 On this Superfecta Sunday we look in on a great Stakes race as the Kentucky Downs meet closes out.

Kentucky Downs Race 9 {Juvenile Mile Stakes~1 mile~TURF~2 year-old~Stakes}

A reduced field of nine will hit the adulating KD course.

There is enough speedy and forwardly placed types to produce a decent pace. Only two have raced over the Kentucky Downs course and both during this short meet. Speed numbers are fairly close. It should be competitive as these youngsters tackle this rolling course. It should be a great race on a fantastic Superfecta Sunday of racing.

#7 Street Beast (Machado / Colebrook) is the overwhelming favorite as he wheels back from a win over this course just a week ago. He holds the highest last out speed number and one superb workout. Look for him to be forwardly placed close to the pace. A son of Street Sense, he is 100% in the money from two starts.

#1 Awesome Connection (J. Ortiz / C. Davis) comes down from Woodbine with the second highest last out speed number and three strong workouts. He will be making his third start in the form cycle. He could show speed. This guy will be one of five stretching out to the distance. A son of Connect, he is also 100% in the money from two starts.

#5 Baytown Dreamer (Curtis / McEntee) is another coming down from Woodbine. He won his only start at this distance. Coming in with the third highest last out speed number at the distance and two aggressive workouts he should take another step forward. A son of Mendelssohn, he is 60% in the money from five starts.

#10 Thunder Zeus (K. Asmussen / Biancone) will be making his second start switching from sythetic to Turf. He holds the fourth highest last out speed number and two excellent workouts on Turf. He could surprise from a tracking position. A son of Caravaggio, he is 100% in the money from one start.

#2 Ciborio (I. Ortiz / D'Angelo) is the other entrant that recently raced at this Kentucky Downs meet having hit the board. He wheels back in this race seeking his maiden win. That race was at this distance. He should track the pace closely. A son of Raging Bull [FR], he is 33% in the money from three starts.

#6 Duke of Suggins (Graham / Stall) will make the surface switch from dirt to Turf and stretch out to this mile distance. This colt had a decent last out speed number and has put in three robust workouts. Look for him to track the pace. A son of Toms d'Etat, he has a 50%-win rate from two starts.
