Today the spring meet at Keeneland Opens.  A Good Friday for Horse Racing.

Keeneland Race 9 {Transylvania~G3~1 1/16~Turf~3 year old~Stakes}
We are back on the grass at Keeneland.  A field of nine goes to the gate for this traditional stakes race.  Macias (A. Garcia / Baffert) looks ready for this race with the highest last out speed number, a four race progression, and two sturdy workouts.  Strike the Tiger (J. Velazquez / Ward) may be the surprise in this one.  He is one of three others that has covered this distance with a wholesome speed number, is moving through a two race progression, and has had three stellar workouts.  Lost Aptitude (Albarado / Romans) has also gone this distance with the highest speed number and is 100% in the money at this distance.  He will be coming down in distance a little for this race.  Call Shot (Nakatani / Catalano) has to be respected with a decent last out speed number, a three race progression, and three muscular workouts.  Nordic Truce (Leparoux / Clement) looks strong with a decent last out speed number, a two race progression, and two limber workouts.  This will be a very exciting race on the card for opening day at Keeneland.
